Google maps will show the next turn direction like the native Garmin nav does. Not sure I've seen any other Android info in the mini display.

Does Android Auto and Google maps use the mini screen under the speedo. Much like the factory Garmin does?

Just checked. In addition to Google Maps showing the next turn directions in the mini display, when you change the track on a music app the (sometimes shortened) song name will show. Also, if you make a call, the number you are calling will show up in the display. I guess it would be the same for receiving calls and texts, but I haven't gotten any yet.

Curious if it does this since Honda's deck is Android itself?
I'm in the Apple eco system. But might pick up a mid level Android to test it out.
