This winter I've been getting 15-17mpg or so. I got down into the 14s once when it was bitter cold and stuck in traffic for a few hours. 87 octane.
I towed a 5x8 U-haul utility box trailer at 50-60 mph with little stopping and 93 octane, got just over 14 mpg.
I did the same trip using 87 octane without a trailer and just hit 22 mpg, a new record.
Just goes to show you that mileage can be all over the place with the same truck under different driving conditions. FWIW, I often drive a bit more "spiritedly" than most. Truck is stock, 5w20 dino oil, highway tires, and well maintained.
