Hi all,

I just got a ARE Canopy and now my trunk will only open half way due to the brackets the install tech used. Does anyone have an ARE Canopy and is able to open their trunk all the way or is this a known issue?

Please send me a link or pic if there is an installation out there.

Same problem with Tonneau Covers. The rails block the Trunk from opening all the way, but it's never a real problem getting at it!

I spoke with another shop and they said that it was installed with the wrong clamps, maybe there is something you can try on your cover as well.

Retrax has same issue

Mine works just fine. The lid clears the brackets by about 1/8 inch per side.
