Not sure if I can help since I had to pick between the tonneau and the cap and chose the cap. It also won't be installed until tomorrow. The guy did say that the tonneau is easier to put on and take off. I think with the cap what will be difficult is the wiring for the locks and lights.

Were you planning on getting one with the locking system that works with your Honda locks? They offer that on both the tonneau and the cap. I was planning on taking pictures tomorrow showing where they tapped into the wiring system.

If it meets your needs, that is definitely an attractive lid!
Looked like a perfect color match in the video... to the Modern Steel RL. Does it come to match the OTHER colors?
I notice in the comments though they avoid the question being asked about it locking the tailgate. "Yes it has a lock on the lid. You can lock it with a key or you can connect it to the vehicles remote lock unlock key FOB". Three times the question is answered, three times they avoid answering whether it secures the tailgate from being opened. It's also hard to tell how it affects the truck lid opening. Nice looking tonneau though.

When we ordered our cap they pulled the color code off the truck, so yes they match it to your truck's color.

The tonneau actually secures the gate better than the cap does. The tonneau overlaps the back of the gate by several inches. There is no way you can open the gate when it is locked down. The only reason we didn't get one was that the bed isn't very deep so we would have to sometimes drive with it partially up which is not good for it. The guy did say that if we did get one and had to drive with it up they will always be happy to realign it for us for as long as we have the truck. I suppose this kind of shows find a good dealer. Our cap overlaps the gate as well but until we see it on tomorrow I am not sure it will be secure enough.

It will according to my dealer. I also have a friend that has one on an older Tacoma and it secures his tailgate.

Can you easily remove the cover if you need additional height for bulky items?
Want. Anyone know pricing on these?

About $1,500.00 installed. Be sure to check the ARE website they usually have coupons.

In St Louis they start at 1,200 installed but there are a few add ons. We have the cap, I love the auto locks.

Based on the instructions (http://216.92.14.144/documents/2016...Honda_Ridgeline_Installation_Instructions.pdf) it looks like only 4 bolts to remove.
I had my ARE LSII installed today.

I did notice a little paint over-spray on the brackets and end of the rails. I may put a couple of small spacers in between the brackets on the rear. You will notice a small gap between the side rails at the end of the bed. This appears by design. Overall very happy with the look. Now lets see how it does in the rain.

I can confirm it secures the tailgate.

We just had a significant storm and I do have water in the bed. Does not appear to be from around the cover but coming from behind the back bed panel.

Looking at your pictures and the Installations Instructions

I have ordered an ARE LSII. Should be in next week. Its the only one I know of that will secure the tailgate without a Dynolock or Pop-N-Lock.

Here is a link to the installation instructions someone posted this link:

Doesn't look like they filled the holes as recommended by A.I.R

NOTE: I take that back, I can see the putting when I looked closer.

I checked and they did. Appears to be another entry from the spoiler around the rear window.
Here is a picture of the water that got in the bed. You can see it did not get in around the cover. Water is clearly coming in from behind bed panel. Since the installation instructions warned of this I am not surprised. Now the wait to see the truck dry we had quarter+ size hail in the storm.
