Found this in the long version of the manual. Not much help. Please let us know what they say.

Should be OK to drive. It is definitely only front wheel drive. Bad thing is next week I am going to beach fishing so the AWD will be required.

Very likely a problem with at least one pin in C601.

Driving to dinner warning lights came on again. After dinner no warning lights came on. Still taking it to get checked out.

Mine came on and disappeared then just stayed on. In my case (assuming it is finally fixed) it took replacing the wiring harness in rear and then the rear differential oil pump. I was told its ok to drive but I dont believe it since the light can mean a problem with harness AND a failure of oil pump due to wiring problem. No way to tell if oil pump is working since there is only one indicator light. See other threads. Should call Honda and open case IMO if it turns out to be harness/pump.

What are last 5 digits of VIN? Wonder if was an early built truck. My E is about 5200.

First report with pics…not for faint hearted

Your problem again

And the problem with all the lights cycling (not what you describe exactly).

Took truck to dealer last night. Called this am and told them about the connector problems found here. They just called and said that Honda is replacing the harness if it is corroded. Said if not corroded they clear the moisture and re-route the harness and clear the codes. Mine was not corroded so I am just waiting for the lights to come back on. I will be using the AWD next week at the beach so I hope it keeps working.

What did they do to fix yours? Any further problems since? Not sure what re-routing the harness means but that was what Honda USA said to do. They know it is an issue for sure.

I posted the play by play in the long forum referenced above.

Short answer is after 3 dealers, the original dealer ended up "fixing" it by cleaning the pins in the connector and adding di-electric grease to the seal. The connector, from their words, was not even fully seated from factory.

I should note that I have not had the issue crop up again -- that was about 5K miles ago.

ncbryan, which beach are going driving on next week? We are going too!
So a day after they "fixed" my problem the light is back on. No rain no way to get the harness wet. Will be back at dealer tomorrow

My Ridgeline has the same crap with AWD and dealership told me that harness is corroded and they need 3 days to take bed apart to replace the part... not happy at all with that... waiting for Honda USA to repply... cant believe that Honda had in the past the same problem with other vehicles and once again went down on the tubes on the new Ridgeline...first was problems on all the system of my Ridgeline, when was only less than 2 months old...they replace a sensor and 2 miles after the AWD problem...whats next????
Just had my 2017 Black Edition in the shop to get ripped apart and have 2 wiring harnesses replaced along with the rear differential pump. Connectors said to be corroded and solution was given by Honda Tech Line. Since picking it up and having it for 3 hours, I no longer have an audible from keyless entry, even though settings are showing it enabled. Took it back to the dealership and they are scratching their heads and have to contact Honda again. There is another Black Edition in there for the same thing. Very uncomfortable driving it hoping that nothing else electrical goes bad.
I believe that for everyone that has had this problem and included what model they owned it's a BE or E. Anyone have this issue on a T and below?

Any update on your truck bryan?
Any update on your truck bryan?

Dealer replaced the said 2 wiring harnesses. No issues with the lights coming back on.....so far. Ever since I got the truck back it creeks and pops when I turn into a parking lot or anywhere the truck gets twisted so to speak. I thought it was the toneau cover but I checked it and it was tight. Guess I will have to go back to dealer and get them to tighten up the bed and whatever else they took apart.

Thanks for the update. That's aggravating to enter the shop with one problem and leave with an annoyance like that creak.

If the audio beep is not working under all circumstances, perhaps the beeper unit itself is not plugged in? Gonna research its location and see if it shares the bed harnesses.

Again, if anyone within driving distance of Suffolk New York has the warning light issue, would love to check it out. Will diagnose right down to the corroded pin. No charge. We will all learn quite a bit about the problem.
