Since the posts are standard sizes, seems to me the connector (lug) has to be the same standard size, no? (BTW, pos and neg terminals are different sizes)
Battery wire size?
Hello. My positive clamp is mangled (previous owner) and doesn't tighten very tight to the battery post and I even have a shim on there. I am going to change the clamp to a different style but can't tell what size wire it is and once I cut the connector off I will need to have the correct lug here. So is it 2 - 4 awg wires or are they 2 awg? I searched and someone said 4, but I tried to measure and they seem bigger.

I ended up buying a couple 4 and 2 awg lugs so whichever size the cables are I will use. Hoping to do this next weekend.
