Any fellow North Carolina Ridgeline owners ever drove on the beach at the Point in Emerald Isle?
Late three year old comment, but they say your veichle must be 4WD not AWD. Not sure if they will make an exception for the Ridgeline, since they are probably trying to keep out the AWD sedans.

What’s the difference? I thought they were the same.

I always thought this article explains it best: “The difference between all-wheel drive and four-wheel drive is like the difference between beer and tequila.”

From my research the sand mode effectively makes it 4wd. I talked to the EI police and they said they don’t police the 4WD requirement. I bought the pass, and the Ridgeline did fantastic on the beach.
