Blind Spot Monitors

Maybe I just don't know where to look, but I haven't seen Blind Spot Monitors mentioned anywhere for the 2020 Ridgeline. I was able to have a salesman confirm that a newly arrived Ridgeline did have BSM - but the info was telegraphic and I have not been able to confirm that it has BSM on both the passenger and driver's side. I know that the old "Lane Watch" was only on the passenger side. I plan to check it out later this week.

Cannot speak for other models, But the RTL-E has the BSM.
Picked up one last Fri.

The 2020 Black Edition also has blind spot monitors. The versions below the RTL-E do not.

The 2017-2020 Ridgeline RTL-E and Black Edition have the Blind Sport Information System with amber indicators inside the cabin near each side mirror. Both indicators will light up for a few seconds as a check when the ignition is turned on.

It would be nice to know if the RTL’s have the same wiring harness as the RTL-T and Black edition and the system could be installed on it, that is really the only thing I feel the RTL’s is missing, perhaps installing an aftermarket unit is the only solution...

They do not. The Sport, RTL and RTL-E/BE all have different wiring harnesses.
I am new here, so I apologize for reviving an old thread, but I did not necessarily want to make a new thread. I was told the 2020 Honda Ridgeline Sport I bought came with blind spot monitoring. Was I told wrong information? If, so, is there a way to add this through upgrade/after-market means? Thanks in advance.
You were told wrong. For 2020, only the RTL-E and Black Edition have the Blind Spot Information System. For 2021, it was added to the RTL trim as well. It's not practical to add this feature to trims not originally equipped. There are aftermarket solutions available, but I have no recommendations.

It is frustrating to hear that. I will have to see if I can find any aftermarket solutions. I can get used to not having the light indicator again. It is not a huge deal breaker.
I wish they'd put an indicator for BSM in the center mirror.

But frankly, if you have your mirrors adjusted properly, it's a redundant system. On my driver's side, I can see vehicles in my mirrors up until they come into my peripheral vision if I keep looking straight ahead.

I like the implementation in my CX-5. It has the usual indicators in the mirrors and also has indicators in the head-up display.

In the HUD would be good. In the mirrors themselves is silly, why would you need an indication that something is in the area that you are looking into by looking at the mirror? LOL
I see so few even using their blinkers for changing lanes and turning. The roads would be safer for sure.
