So long term goals, plans and what not?

Just guessing, it will ultimately end up on a 4 wheel dyno?

What are you going to do with the 42k motor from the RL? Will it end up in a S2K or some other 4 Cyl Honda/Acura? Or just plan to sell it?

Please keep us posted...

Man, that's AWESOME!!!!!

Can't wait for the Dyno sheet, I doubt the Tranny will have issue with the 50+ hp gain, I'd be more concerned with the VTM-4.

Uh oh. If OhSix sees this thread, I bet he'll come knocking on your door! Maybe Carsmak too.

(I know I would!)
I'm following this daily.

If "dopes" ever wants to race at Irwindale or Fontana, I'm in, I want to see some 1/4 mile times...

EDIT:, I'm bone stock, but it would be a great comparison

If all you 06-08 guys post in the Ridgeline section on the kTuner help forum maybe we can get support across all model years ;-)!
Searching for some such help forum, I stumbled across this 2 year old thread that was deleted. I re-opened it. But I cannot unban Ktuner. I'm not sure why he was banned before. I don't see any reason based on reading the thread, but perhaps there was some PM traffic that resulted in the ban. I have no idea as I was not involved in that action.

Speed,

I'm pretty sure Dopes was referring to the Ktuner Forums.
KTuner.com ? View forum - Ridgeline Platform

I'm going to join them later and I'll post a link to this thread, unless Dopes posts a link to his own thread there to here.

Interesting stuff they are doing at Ktuner.

Yeah I'm not sure about 06-08 based on that other thread but maybe if there was enough market pressure they will have no choice but to develop it.
I think it's more the older '06-'08 would require an entirely different approach then the one they are offering for '09-'14, and those are generally getting a little long in the tooth.

I should post a link to this thread! Maybe I'll wait until I post some finished pictures where I no longer have zip ties holding my intake tube on >:)
I'll let you post your own link to this thread from Ktuner. It's nice to know there are some options in the '09-'14 MY's Your making me want to trade up.

Wonder if any of the CAI build your own type kits have what you need?

When is the dyno session, or did you do it already.

Thanks again for the info. Favorite Thread!!!

This "Thread" alone is making me reconsider driving my '06 till the wheels fall off or I retire. Not sure I have 12 more years in the seat of this RL, I had been considering some serious upgrades to get 10-12 more years out of it, but now I just don't know. Granted, once the insanity drops off I'll go Test Drive a '17, but I'd love to get a ride in Dopes '13, and I'm now looking over what may become available of '09-'14's in the next year.

Dnick, I believe that was asked, but, I agreed with the idea he posted that he's just accepting the stock numbers. Once other items settle out I'm considering a dyno run of my '06, but afraid it will make me want to sell it even faster. I haven't searched, I'm unsure if any 'owners' have posted a dyno of an '06-'08 or '09-'14, on here, I don't recall seeing one.

Source for the above info
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_J_engine

262whp and 266 ftlbs of torque. It runs even better now and torque down low is much improved! Vids will be uploaded in a little bit.
EDIT : ASSuming Parasitic loss is a constant, which is more than likely a variable but we'll stick with it as a constant. Your J37 whp has lost 43hp over the spec 305hp of the source and you've lost 7ft lb torque over the source, below is what I intended to say...

Dopes you've gained about 55hp over your stock config and 26ft lbs , Amazing, Simply Amazing. (Obviously, the PCD's and any other items you've done help too)

What would be need for this swap in 2007 Ridgeline?? Can I plug the 3.7 ecu into my stock harness??? And swap the motor in ???
Short answer, No.

Longer answer, the ECU in '06-'08 is a different type than, what is in the '09-'14 MY, Dopes has already answered this earlier in this thread.

So in addition to a motor swap, an ECU swap and possibly an ECU piggyback harness would be necessary, I believe, if I understand correctly.

Also it's being discussed in this thread, http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com/forums/7-under-hood-performance/134697-random-thoughts-about-swapping-3-7l-2006-2008-model.html

So much for Stealth...

I don't think there is a method of hiding that "Supercharger Whine"...

Can't wait to see the results.

Hell, if you can keep it together at 100hp per Liter, that would be insane...

Not sure how much you use your trunk, may try to find another location although I'm not certain where that would be. Maybe in the bed sides, near the fuel filler? Or opposite side?, fill port in the bedside or thru the bedside cap? Not sure but rather than Supercharging the 3.7 why not the 3.5, is the compression high on 3.5?

Dopes,

The Report looks good, but I'd be a little concerned using a qt over 6k miles, I barely add a 1/4 qt and I'm using 5w20, granted it's the 3.5 and not your 3.7 but that would be a bit concerning.

Otherwise looks good. I believe there is Oil Analysis thread on a 3.7 MDX, although your significantly different than the average motor on the ROC, it might be good to post it there, Not sure if that Member is still around, but maybe he just doesn't come around often. http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com/forums/46-other-cars-trucks-bikes/63186-first-oil-change-2013-mdx-blackstone-analysis.html. I might try to consolidate all the existing UOA's that I can find, Reports Only, with links to the original threads, and attempt to better represent UOA's.

I'd love to send the same sample to multiple labs, (I know of a few) just to compare results and "test the testers".

Carsmak
