My wife's 2016 Acura RDX has the molding in the same place as the 2017 Ridgeline does and the looks and design are the same. Now I installed these molding myself and all the time I was thinking like you-all are, will they work and do the job, or just work on some vehicles with like door designs. I have pretty much decided that it will be what parks next to you what will happen and if the owners of said vehicles respect your vehicle or not. I myself want body side molding and being the perfectionist that I am, I have decided to look into the Accord factory molding accessory kit, the moldings come in the same factory colors, and the same design as the Ridgeline moldings. These moldings on the Accord are placed on the doors higher then the Ridgeline moldings, I would say from the pictures some 12-15" from the bottom of the door. One thing I need to do is measure the Accord doors and see how the molding will fit and look on the Ridgeline doors, are they long enough and are they going to be factory looking when installed, or should I say, looks like it came from the factory that way. My new Ridgeline is not in yet so I have not done the measurements for the moldings yet, but soon I will go to the dealer and look at Accords for these measurements, wouldn't it be nice if the parts department would let me take a set out and put up against a Ridgeline to see how they would look. One other thought was to use the Ridgeling mondings and just move them up, but by the looks of the moldings they look to not be flat on the back side, this they would not lay flat on the door surface and would not work, I will also check that out. As you can see I'm retired and have nothing to do at this time, will take some pics if I decide to do this.
