Bump Guards For Doors

I Would Like To Find Bump Guards That Is The Same Color As The Trim Works (top Rail Of The Bed, Or The Running Boards), To Install On My Doors. I've Had A Couple Of Nicks Already From Folks Not Carefull Opening Their Doors. I Don't Care Too Much For The Color Coordinated Bump Guards From Honda. I Was Thinking Of Ordering The Black Set For My Silver Truck But It Will Not Look Right With That Shinny Black.

Hi Tex,

I don't know if you are looking for but check this website:

3598
I ordered the slim ones for my Turbo S item #3598 in CLEAR from autosport and they turned yellow within about 7 months. I just took them off when I detailed the Turbo S to sell.

I don't recommend the clear ones because they yellow really bad. I don't know about the others.
I just looked at various trims at Pep Boys yesterday. I have the same concerns due to a door ding already. Toudh up paint helped, but I can see it if I look closely.

I don't like the Honda door guards and I especially don't like the price. This is a place where Honda could have done better by us. I've been paying more attention and it seems that most cars and trucks come stock with something to protect them from careless people and their doors.

I, too, would like something in a muted black. If you find a good product, spread the word. It would be nice to have something with finished edges about the width of the doors.
Vertrkr, thanks for the Pep Boys tip. Went shopping for my Ridge last night. Bought door guards. It is a 16 ft lenght of 3/4 inch wide, self adhering, embossed black plastic material that is about 3/16 inch thick. I plan to install right above the top groove of the sheet metal, which I think it curves out the most. Also, bought door edge guards of the same material, about a 1/4 inch wide. Also, bought two sets of bumper guards, this time it is the same shade of silver as my Ridge, with a touch of chrome. This is about 14 inch long and will wrap around the front corners of the bumper. And maybe on the rear bumpers as well. Bought a netting for $20 for the truck bed. It will cover the full width and length of the truck bed and is adjustable!! Also bought a set of four tie down straps that comes with a carry on bag. Lastly, bought a chrome tip for the exhaust pipe that has a fluted opening, which looks very cool! All this for less than a hundred!!

Got a good look at Tex's Ridge's door guard and corner mouldings. Hope you don't mind me posting your photo Tex. They look great and add some flair.

Tex, by chance do you have the 'brand' names of the door guards, door edge guards and bumper guards? I don't think I have a Pep Boys near me and wanna see if they have them online. Also, while you are at it....the cargo net too.....

Thanks!

I've been looking at a web site that has a lot of choices. As of yet I haven't decided but the prices are WAY below Honda's and can help you personalize your truck.

Here's the link:
