Cleaning perforated leather seats

So, my RL is the first vehicle I've owned with the perforated leather seats. On a recent trip, my wife managed to get a piece of chocolate on the seat that melted and has now left residue underneath the seat cover. Any ideas on how to clean this (preferably without removing the seat cover)?

I use a toothpick after wiping up what i can, some come out with toothpick when lifted. I do not try to scrape under then vacuum to get out what i can. Repeat if needed. Then a very liberal amount of pure aloevera from walmart. It is the same ingredient as honda leather care.
