Hi
Got the cross bars for a 2017 ridgeline. The installation instructions are not clear. How do I remove the rear plastic trim to slide in the bars after removing the torx screw. Does the whole rear trim come off or just a part. I am scared to use a screw driver in caseI break something!
Advice needed
Thanks

Welcome to the ROC & congratulations on your new RL!

The instructions show the trim comes off using a plastic trim tool available thru Honda - Plastic Trim Tool (T/N SILTRIMTL10). It looks like the cover is several inches long. College Hills Honda sells the tool for under $10. Some folks are probably fine with trying a screwdriver but I'm the cautious type. If I was doing the job on my truck I'd buy the tool. You can get a better look at the roof rail instructions at the link below.

Good luck - hope you enjoy the new ride!

Thanks for the info. Link to Honda requires I pay them for access - bummer.
Any free links to info? I will get the tool as suggested.
Happy holidays
