I had two lights com on today, twice and at the same time. I have the battery indicator and the VTR-lock. Happened while driving. Pulled off and turned vehicle off. Turned on again, problem went away for about 45 mins then came back. Anyone have a clue?

Our cars are processing a ton of information. It simply would not operate with out electrical power.

Maybe one of those features that should be added to new models is a Ctl Alt Delete button on the dash. This way we would not need to pull over and do a shut down to reboot the computor.

Darn that Bill Gates, he has his hands in everything. A honda powered by Windows, perrish the thought.
Yes, it is pretty likely that it is the one of the brake or ABS Modulator sensors...there is a thread on this here:

Interestingly enough the same issues exist with the the VSA system on the Acura TL...so it must be a bunch of bad modulators out there.

Ok, I did some watching t his evening. The truck starts normal, i.e. the lights come on and then disapear. After driving about 2 miles the battery light comes on. About 90 seconds later the VTR light comes on. If I turn off the car and restart, they go out for a bit and then come back on.

I am worried that I may be left high and dry with a dead battery, it may not be a computer glitch. But all indications are with two idiot lights....or is it I am t he idiot.

I am taking it to a dealer that I did not but hte vehicle from, they are closer but would not give me a good price. I read here that Honda SOP is to give a loaner to people with warrantee work. Is t hat true? What if the dealer does not do this or have cars available? Can you rent and will Honda reimburse? If so how?

Inquiring minds wish to know.

According to the extended warranty terms (I'm not sure if it applies to the initial 3 years/36K) rental reimbursement is based upon the number of labor hours required to fix the vehicle.
Fixed my problem. It was a loose anlternator wire going to the regulator on the fuse block. I did a voltage check to see if it was a computer glitch and I had an undervoltage condition. I traced the wire off the alternator to the fuse block and when I moved the fuse block assembly, the voltage jumped to well over 13.5 volts instead of the 12.03. Found the culprite and tightened it down. No more battery light. And also no more VTM light as well.

It seems that the VTM will go on ir you have an under volt condition.
