Daytime running lights

I have a 2022 RTL and I'm a little confused about the daytime running lights. Every other Ridgeline that I see has those LED strips above the headlights on as DRL's but mine don't come on ever, even when the headlights are on. The DRL's that do come on are those center halogens that aren't very bright. Wondering if mine just weren't set to come on at the factory. Can anyone advise if their truck does the same or if I truly have a problem for the dealer to sort out. Thanks!

This is by design. Us plebs with the Sport and RTL trims don't get the fancy LED "swoosh" DRLs. We get the High beams at a lower output than full brightness.

Just about to replace my halogen high beams with a led bulb that has a proper Drl function. It’s an easy upgrade and not necessarily cheap, but much cheaper than going with an rtl-e.

What bulbs are you going with? I find that conversion somewhat confusing....

After ordering 2 previous sets of bulbs, I learned that the ones that function correctly are not necessarily cheap.

I just put them in and I can say the low voltage Drl functions correctly and the high beams are very bright and the beam pattern is accurate.

Great to hear this! I was hoping these would work, as mine are now over a year old, but haven't missed a beat.

They work well but are still bright in Drl mode. I will test some more and report back.

The DRL mode should have less "brightness" than the low beams, I had to test mine in the dark to find out.

Are the anti-flicker links necessary when using as DRL?
