I would guess that you paid exactly what that dealer wanted for that trim level. You stated in your OP that you "trusted Honda". This error has nothing to do with Honda. It's truly on you. Could they have done something, sure, but the dealer wasn't obligated. If I had 10K in disposable income I think I would have spent it a little differently.Original dealership is the one that said they could not do anything. The second dealership i went to upgraded my vehicle but it cost 10,000 extra. Which i paid so i could get what i suppose have got at a cost.
So sorry u believe that. Bless youYour story is almost too incredible to be believed.
I have a very strong suspicion this is a spammer - the signs are there, but I'm willing to eat crow if I'm wrong.![]()
If this guy is not just playing this forum, well...........................................................I'll keep this polite while thinking about PT Barnum.Your story is almost too incredible to be believed.
I had walked out of the first dealership with a 14000 balance left to pay after my trade in of a 2017 chevycrewcab i had also put 3000 down. To make it 14,000 then when i traded in the 22ridgeline rtl and bought the 22 rtl-e my balance didnt drop but 400 dollars and i gave the second dealership 10,000 on top of it all. To say the least shouldn't of bought the rtl.and i had thought it had the sensors on it like he said. But in the long run it cost me a bunch more of money. When i returned it it had 35 miles. And he refused to do anything. Sorry for the long post!!!Man you really wanted those parking sensors. What trim level was the first vehicle? How much of the $10K delta was loss on the first vehicle?
Guess best thing is to move on!!!I had walked out of the first dealership with a 14000 balance left to pay after my trade in of a 2017 chevycrewcab i had also put 3000 down. Yes your right could of used even 7 thousand if the first dealership would of done what was right.Look at the bright side. It really only cost you $7K since the E lists for $3K more then the RTL.
agree with @zroger73 ... Also, its pretty clear what trim levels have (and dont have) for the big meaningful features. this is silliness. "i want to return this condo because it doesnt have a back yard". give me a break. i wish the OP and the dealer good luck in their future relationship together.Your story is almost too incredible to be believed.
1 - You did not trust Honda, you trusted the salesman. it is a high turnover industry and while there are some that are honest and know what they are selling; others would struggle finding the battery... True story, when looking at an XV90 the dealer could not find the battery; to this day no idea where it is.Purchased a 2022 honda ridgeline was told it had parking sensors upon arriving home later at night noticed it did not have. Went back to current dealership early next morning address my concerns. Was told he misunderstood what i was asking and when i asked about returning it to get the rtl-e package he said a deal is a deal he couldn't do anything for me.so i went to another dealership to address the issue ending up getting the rtl-e package but the trade ended up costing me a additional 10,000 dollars. Do anyone feel like i have a case with honda to possibly getting this money refunded back to me. I had done what i thought was right and went back less then 24 hours later from the original purchase. And to be put in this situation is beyond my beliefs i trusted honda. Please reach out to me. God bless
