Does the oem chrom side bars oxidize easily?

I want to add the side bars on my rl and decided on the chrome ones. My only concern is if they oxidze easily and / or get small rust marks in time and need more maintenance? I am looking at Hondas factory stuff

Thanks for any info

I don't see that these are available in anything other that OEM paint colors (no chrome). Am I wrong in that? See this link for info on colors available from H&A:

Hold On..... it just occurred to me that I may be misunderstanding what you are calling "side bars". Are you talking about Side Steps?? If so, then yes chrome is available... and I can't comment, having not owned these (I have black "platform style" Running Boards).
Here's the page with those:

This has ALOT to do with where you live. Out west, shouldn't be an issue. Around here, you'll have trouble with oxidation/corrosion even with certain stainless accessories.

What he said ^, I have them on mine and live in FL and still perfect after 7 years but I keep them polished.......
