I'll take you up that. I got two problems now that are stumpers.

1. My radio will crakle with static and/or garble the audio only on AM when driving over rough surfaces. Only happens on AM and only after 15 minutes into driving. Dealer checked all antenna and ground connections, still does it. Guess a bad head unit?

2. I hear poppping/pinging sounds coming from the rear roof when I park in the sun shortly after leaving garage. Guess it's dissimilar materials on the outside with different thermal coefficients of expansion. Not sure anything can be done about that.
I have had to have my entire rear window replaced, and now I'm hearing creaking noises when I go over a curb. What is the fix for that?

Man, thomas, nice first post. You're asking for it, aren't you buddy! :D

Our Ridge is deadly silent 'cept for the pebbles that get thrown-up against the underside. I'm sure things will twist & turn & squeak over time. I have lots of experience squashing tics, pops, rattles, burps, squeaks, squawks, etc from years of RV'ing; so far the Ridge is acting like (I can only imagine!) a Beemer or Lexus or --your favorite luxury vehicle here-- and we're liking it!
My ridgeline is with out rattles, squeeks, thumps or bumps.

It does have a firm ride and lots of hard plastic cubby holes to put things in, the only rattles I have had are loose objects in these storage spaces.

No rattles here.
HOWEVER, I have a new issue but not for this thread!!
:D
no rattle and no problem vin#451. Assuming the factory was making 200 units per day, mine was made on the 3rd day. Scary....

I got my Siena and TL also in first year of production. first year, every 2 months, I find a loose screw on the floor. so far, it's been 2 months, no loose screws yet.
started at 30 units per day and increased up to 270-330/day at the start of april ;)
Hi Thomas -

I have a rubbing/vibration noise coming from the area near where the driver's A-pillar meets the dashboard. Sometimes I can stop it by pressing on the A-pillar where it meets the dash. Mostly happens when driving over "Botts" dots - the raised bumps used to mark freeway lanes out here in the West.

I also seem to have a rattle coming from the roof area, approximately above the right rear passenger area. Sounds almost like something not completely tightened down in the moonroof assembly over the right rear passenger seat.

And finally, I have the same creaking steering wheel issue most of us have been suffering with.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. It's a great truck and I love it.
I will be dropping Tom a note. We just hit 1000 miles today and I am sorry to report that we now have an intermittant rattle on the driver's side; it seems to be coming from the door. It varies in loudness. It made me nuts! By the end of the trip I was a nervous wreck. I kept turning the music up louder trying to mask the sound, which didn't always work. <sigh>
When I open the sunroof cover inside I hear a rattle. It stops once I pull it back to the closed position. I thought it might be flexing since it not pressing against the glass.

I have this very same problem -- have had it ever since we bought the Ridgeline.
Did this guy Thomas Kohl ever post again?

Nope. 2 posts in April was it.
Ditto - same problem. The sunroof shade rattles when open. It's the only "unpleasant" noise in the whole truck.
Well let's see.....I've had my front window worked on twice (they are ordering a new one as we speak), both front door windows rattle when they are down a little, a have a dull thump coming from my left rear wheel everytime I hit the smallest of bumps, and if I hit my knee on that F#$%&*# headlamp control one more time (oops..that's not a rattle). I have never been so disappointed in any Japanese car as far a workmanship goes. I'm starting to wish I had waited a model year or two.

He had to enter the witless protection program.;)
The only rattle that I have is from the drivers visor. A quick whack on the end to push it toward the door cures it for a week or two. It's not worth complaining about. Oh, I had a pack of tic-tacs spill in the drivers door pocket - they rattled. The vehicle that I traded for the Ridgeline, a Chevy Blazer LT, squeaked and rattled like crazy. The leather seats were really noisy. The dash squeaked a lot if I didn't keep after it by spraying a little lithium grease into the seams. The tailgate rattled and the weather seal chattered until I used Armorall on the weather seals (every month or two). Pretty much the same thing for the doors. The sun roof whistled until I played with the switch enough to get it to stay in just the right position. I could go on and on. At 60K miles I just couldn't take it any more, it was falling apart. It makes me really appreciate the Ridgeline and how silent the ride is. Fortunately I have not experienced any of the noises or problems mentioned.

I have a passenger side rattle, when I open the glovebox it goes away. Maybe I should remove the Altoids ;). Other than that not a noise to speak of, unless you include the radio and the heater that has to be on now that it is in the 50s up here (actually only 43 this morning).
I'm freezing my arse off here in GA. You can have the snow.:p Heated seats are gonna be sweet.

Not only do I have that rattle, but I have an annoying noise at the rear roof that I just this weekend realized I never hear when the sunroof is open -- even at very low (under 20 mph) speeds. Gotta be connected.... I dread trying to get the dealer's service dept.'s help with this one.
