Same here! I have BSM system, yet I love having my blind spot mirrors. Can't trust technology to do all the work for you YETI love my blind spot mirrors. $2.00 each from NAPA. Would never pay to have the extended mirrors.
I have the driver's side mirror (I don't think passenger side mirror is available) and would do it again but I was definitely disappointed in the performance of the mirror. I purchased the mirror online intending to install myself but then had Lithia Honda install it during an oil change. I don't remember the purchase price but Lithia charged me about $35 to install it which I considered reasonable under my circumstances.I was considering installing the wide view rearview mirror on the driver's side and came across this thread. It is kind of an old thread so I am just confirming that current sentiments are still the same.
Curiously, what about the mirror made you disappointed?I have the driver's side mirror (I don't think passenger side mirror is available) and would do it again but I was definitely disappointed in the performance of the mirror.
In my opinion, it does not significantly increase the rear viewing angle.Curiously, what about the mirror made you disappointed?
Well, darn it, I guess we'll just go with the cheapie stick-on spot mirror route then, thanks Farther. In my opinion, it does not significantly increase the rear viewing angle.
The distortion in the extended mirror is awful. I left mine on for one day and took it off and reinstalled the original.Curiously, what about the mirror made you disappointed?
