I need to remove the light bulbs in the doors because i don't always slam the doors shut, and end up with a dead battery ( thank you honda for such a wonderful idea)
The user manual does not even mention them. For the other bulbs they mention Quarter turn of the socket... but I don't see how to do that without breaking the bulbs; unless there are special tools to do these!
Will the removal of the 4 bulbs ( in the 4 doors) have any impact on any other electrical thing.
What if I break the bulbs with pliers and leave them in... will that affect anything else
I don't care at this point, considering the frustration of having a dead battery when you need to go somewhere.

Pull them straight out. Removing them shouldn't have any negative impact other than loss of illumination.
Thanks... I tried that before without applying too much power, as well as turning it, without success... but it did come out, when I was a lot more forceful pulling it ( I was surprised it did not break).

There is always the LED option too. Draws less power so no dead battery in the morning.
I really have no use for them... and I don't think it was a very bright idea to have them in the first place (since honda is too cheap/dumm not to include a $0.10 timer to disconnect after a few minutes)...
They are useless IMO unless one makes frequent stops on the highway at night, to avoid accidents may be.

What I find interesting is the manual says:

With any door left open and the
key is removed from the ignition
switch, the lights stay on about 3
minutes, then go out.

How is yours staying on all night?

I think they are talking about the interior lights : The Map Lights and the Rear Console light; not the door lights.
