How well do you think the new gen2 RL will hold up compared to gen1 and other midsize trucks?

Well, it is already much better than the GM twins, even after they have been on the market for about 2 years now. Also, a lot less issues with the RL than the current Tacoma....still. So, I think it will be good to go for a long time.

I sure hope so cause I plan on keeping for about 10 years. Just seem like the assembly team was a little lazy or over worked. I just had a few fit and finish problems and still the tailgate problem.

Depends on what your use might be, I wont go as far as much better, RL hasnt been out very long to the public to compare the two.

Most of my usage will be putting on highway miles. I plan to drive from Jersey to Louisiana twice a year. light duty off roading, some hauling, and maybe tow a light trailer every now and then.
