I just picked up a used 2010 Honda Ridgeline, automatic, V6, a couple weeks ago. It runs just fine, but every so often the engine light comes on and sometimes the 'D' (drive) light will flash. Transmission fluid seems fine. I ran it up to an AutoZone the last time the light came on, and the codes it gave were:

1. 3rd Pressure SW Circuit High
2. Transmission Fluid Pressure Switch B (3rd Clutch) Circuit High

AutoZone is the closest thing we have to a mechanic for more than a few miles in my area and I'm hoping this is something I can fix on my own, but I'm getting conflicting information from the web. Has anybody else had these codes before and/or fixed this problem at home?

You can always try to flush and replace the fluid. It might look okay but it might not be. This method work on one of my buddies odyssey. Blinking D. But remember only use honda tranny fluid

That is an easy fix and it is the 3rd gear clutch pressure switch, or whatever they call it. Part number should be 28610-R36-004 for the '09+ model years. I replaced this within a year after I bought the truck. The switch is used in Acuras as well. Used to be around $35, now its around $50. Once you replace it, you should be fine.

Replacement procedure (similar to the Pilot) is here >> https://www.piloteers.org/threads/diy-replacing-transmission-pressure-switches.27348/

The part list is here >> https://www.hondapartsnow.com/genuine/honda~switch~assy~28610-r36-004.html
