I'm happy to be a new owner of a used 2019 RT-L with 20k miles. I like most things about it, though the radio is pretty cheap and will be replacing that. But my question is regarding engine noise. The engine runs perfectly and accelerates smoothly but it makes a clicking sound at idle whether hot or cold. Brought it to my local dealer who said it didn't sound unusual to him. I'm used to vehicles that are pretty quiet when idling. Is this normal for this vehicle?

Congrats on your purchase of the new-to-you truck and welcome to the forum. Most likely the clicking sound you’re hearing is the high pressure fuel pump and is normal. Some engines are a bit noisier than others but all have the sound. Go back to the dealer and listen to a Pilot, PP, RL or Ody as they all have the same engine.

You are hearing the direct injectors 'click' each time they direct inject fuel into the cylinder. It's totally normal and all DI cars make this noise to some degree.
