I came very close to pulling the trigger on a Canyon but decided to wait for the Denali model to come out. It's a great looking truck but when I put it up against Honda's quality & reputation the Canyon just didn't measure up. Honda hit it out of the park with the RL & I've had no second thoughts or regrets at all. I'm sure you'll be happy no matter your decision.

Here's my thread on the Canyon.

I'll add that the dealers, as in multiple dealers, can't fix his half tank issue. I think he's up to 3 or 4 times trying to get it fixed. Another one of his coworkers Canyon has 4WD issues & it's been to multiple dealers & still has issues. It looks like when they get some miles on them the issues show up.

The problem with the Canyon twins is their "rough around the edges" finish, fit, driving and under hood org (especially the diesel). Honda has it over them by far and when you drive a G2 you just can tell it's better. IMO of course.

Steve
What kept me in the G2 hunt over the GMC was the limited space in the back seat area when the seat is in the up position. My seats are up most of the time and there's tons of room which I routinely use. They are good looking trucks; however, the look and ride of the RTL-E are the best in my opinion.

BTW - does anyone know if the GM trucks have a locking tailgate?
It will be a cold snowy day in hell before I buy another GM vehicle. For my own reasons of course.

I'd buy a toyota first. ;)
I made up my mind. If I can get over the payments of 655 a month, for the next 60 months :)crying:), I am getting a RTL-E in Deep Scarlet Pearl.

I went window shopping yesterday at several dealers and they had an RTL in DSP. It was like a shining liight in the parking lot of dark, dull snow capped boredom! lol

It was sold but WOW, it looked stunning. And, you could not convince me it is not the exact same color as my 2009 Gold Wing.
You won't regret it 100. I really feel it's vastly superior to the Coloranyon.

Huge fan of the Deep Scarlet as well!

I threw out a question on another forum I belong to to see if anyone happened to work at a nearby honda dealer...well what do you know.

Anyone know what a good price is for the RTL-E?
tap tap...is this thing on?

I haven't got a clue, maybe peruse the Shoppin' and Test Drivin' section such as this thread, http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com/forums/4-shoppin-test-drivin/133769-what-did-you-pay-61.html and maybe pose that specific question there, unless this thread will Help, http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com/forums/4-shoppin-test-drivin/164089-true-msrp-rtl-e-west-coast.html

Yep, See Above ;)

$655/month for 60 months? Wow.

Find a nice used G1 and save some money. I choke on that kind of payment! But I forget vehicles cost what houses used to cost.

And you probably haven't looked up used prices. I gave that a thought and looked them up. WOW! Some were 30,000 and ost were over 10,000. I found a few under 10k but they had 180-200K Miles! HA! You have got to be kidding!!! I have a used truck with 140,000 miles, I don't want another.

yep, 655. hellofa nut every month but THIS will be the last truck I buy in my life...(I said that about the S-10) Hopefully it is better than my Chevy.
