Howdy gang:
I towed with my 2012 RTL for the first time this past week. I took the truck empty up to Chicago and towed a 2500-pound boat and trailer home to Florida.
Truck ran great both directions, but now that I'm not towing a trailer, the truck is (still) consuming a lot of gas. The instant economy meter is saying around 18-20 instant highway MPG, but the range on a full tank is only around 280 miles, and the fuel is being used much faster. I usually get 350-400 miles per tank. Did the computer "learn" a different mixture for the trailer combo?
I've changed nothing else on the truck since the trip except not towing.
Should I reset my ECU?
Thanks!
