Anyone ever have their gear shift lights stay on?

When I turn off the car, exit and lock the vehicle, my gear shift lights stay illuminated (interior cab light is still off). No big deal except that it's draining my battery as I discovered I couldn't start my Ridgeline this morning.

Any thoughts as to what this means or how to fix?

Thanks

Sounds rather strange. See if this helps:

I'm voting it's the battery. The "gear shift lights" are LEDs. It would take days for them to drain a healthy battery unless the cause of the problem is also keeping the gauge cluster or other modules awake when they would normally be in a power saving sleep mode.
