General Lighting Thread

Since there has been several post/issues with DRL (daytime running lights) and other lighting issues/questions, I wanted to put some info in a consolidated thread.
Please feel free to correct or add information.

To start, DRL
In a nut shell.....
.
The Control Block is connected to the Relay Control Module in the Under-Hood Fuse/Relay Box.
Power leaves the Fuse/Relay Box via GRN/WHITE wire. Notice the No.17 (40A) fuse.
Then power goes to the Under Dash Fuse Box through No.3 (10A) fuse.
It leaves this fuse box via BLU/RED wire and goes to the DRL RELAY.
So the way I see it, when you start the Ridge, ground is applied to pin 3 of the Relay via the control block.
Current through the induction coil activates the switch on pins 1/2 in the relay allowing voltage to pass to the lights and Gauge control unit (dash indicator)
Whats odd is the trouble shooting steps don't mention No 17 (40A) fuse in the Under hood fuse/relay that I recall.

'Didn't see it mentioned in first post, but this does NOT apply to 2006-2008 American models. (I think I got that right)

Looking at the 06-08 drawings, power delivery is basically the same up to the point of the DRL Relay.
The DRL relay is a 5 pin Relay vs. a 4 pin Relay on 09+

If someone has a file from the 06-08 users manual, it would be great to see the fuse panel locations and fuse ratings.

Is that the US or the Canadian version? OR is the SM the same, with the DRL deltas shown as variants in the same manual?

It's the only one offered from Honda Owners Site | Tips, Tools & Benefits for Honda Owners

Compare it to the one you have and let us know if it's different.

The 06-08' wiring diagram came from the follow FSM..

Based on the DRL experience of others - it's unclear why the circuit appears to be current sensitive. Sure would be helpful if the FSM contained component descriptions and design criteria.
