After the handle part number they put your paint code and it does come painted. Sorry for the picture quality that’s what the parts guy texted me.
Yes those are list price, I was able to get both for around 75-80 bucks
Hondapartsnow.com has them listed but cannot match them to my RL, there is also no prompt for a paint code or color when ordering-might be something that gets asked later once they figure it out.

That price you got from your dealer is great-retail is much higher & HPN wants $130 something for them.

I second the posting of the link to the PDF. Curious about the handle being painted or not as well.

Don't think I'll be tearing out my Pop and Lock keyed lock (I have a black G2 so matches great). Does seem like the two OEM parts needed are approx $75 + freight online, so the OEM would be a better deal than the P & L model (around $100 with freight).

The P & L has been perfect for me since install (I did the cut off of the arm as many do that use the manual lock only). The manual is a great option for those that want the tailgate unlocked the majority of the time. Perfect for coming out of hockey or Home Depot with a bunch of crap in tow...No need to get the fob out or touch the door handle if unlocked...

I just use it when I have valuables in the back and will be stopping for a period of time/overnight. I never had a lock on my G1 and in 4.5 years never had anything stolen out of the bed, so this is all peace of mind stuff...

Part# is 08Z07-T6Z-100D and nothing exists in PDF that I could find online. However the price seems to hover around $40 bux for this lock.
Ironically the G2 OEM Tonneau is 08Z07-T6Z-100 (Version 1).

thanks for the post. I think I will return my pop & lock from etrailer. Was told by installer he has seen a number of owners coming back to complain about failure of actuator after 6 months to a year. and worst there is no way to unlock when it fails. So I will wait till some of you folks have installed the new tailgate lock from honda. I think I would prefer to have a manual key version unless they can incorporate a manual release handle from the rear seat to unlock in case the actuator fails.

They are lying about no way to unlock. That’s an easy $2 fix (manual release) in case actuator fails. The diy has been mention in the pop n lock install threads.

So far 10 months on pop and lock and only issues I’ve had was actuator coming un-hooked but that can be due to tail gate being slam shut. But it was an easy fix.

I hate carrying extra keys so remote lock with actuator has been awesome for me.

Glad Honda has releases their own version.

I hate carrying extra keys as well. Wouldn't it be great if Honda figured out a way to re-key their OEM Tailgate Lock to match the "Built-in Key" that comes with your Gen2. That way, no extra key would need to be carried.

FYI, some color handles are more than others. If you look at the list above 140E to 170E are more expensive @$89.00 than 110E to 130E @$63.00. Ordered mine today.
