Hello ROC!

Need your help and wisdom today, I got my hands on 4 almost new tires from a friend who just bought new wheels. The size are 255/70/R18. I currently have 18" wheels on my RTS and the tires on it are very small... 225/60/R18. I wanted to know if the 255s will fit my rideline. I talked to a few people already and they said it will fit, just want to make sure before I take it today to the tire shop.
I want to know if they will fit would I have an issue with rubbing while turning, if they will fit the front tire well. So please if you have time let me know what is your take on this. These new tires will give my ridgeline a more aggressive look and also will make it a little higher than what it is now. Hope it works!

Thank you,

Renato

I just checked the Miata.net site and these are the results.

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
225/60-18 5.3in 14.3in 28.6in 89.9in 704 0.0%
255/70-18 7.0in 16.0in 32.1in 100.7in 629 12.0%

I'm not going to say it couldn't be done but not easily....

I was also looking at a set of 20's on 255/50 20 XD SERIES® - ROCKSTAR II Satin Black with Machined Face. Will they fit without a lift or any mods?

Renato, the 255/70-18 is way too big in diameter - look at the ultimate fitment chart for guidance. All tires 32" or bigger are described as requiring fender cutting.
