GREMLINS! No taillights, blinkers stop when brakes applied, turn signals "stick"
I'm having some electrical problems. Only modifications to truck are Optima Red Top battery and a hitch.
When head lights are on, no tail lights.
When brakes are applied and flashers are on, flashers stop.
When remote is used to unlock, no indicator flash from turn signals.
Turn signals don't "click", and left indicator in dash lights up when brakes are depressed.
I thought it was in my hitch wiring harness because it was pretty much a block of salty ice (conductive). But I cut the plug off, and taped off the wires, but no help.
Everything works perfectly sometimes, but it just went from an intermittent problem to a most of the time problem to an all of the time problem.
Where should I start with the diagnosis? I have a cheap multimeter and basic troubleshooting abilities.
