Head unit doesn't not boot when cold

2017 Canadian Touring edition. When the weather dips to -12 degrees C or about 53 degrees F the head unit stays black. If you shut down and restart the truck the head unit will then come on. Anyone else seeing these types of problems?

I've started a few times in Calgary at -20 and didn't have that problem.
Same truck and no issues starting in -13C. I use remote start a lot though, so the truck is already a little warm by the time I get in and hit the start button...
-40C Sask, works just fine. Slow response obviously but still works.

-40C? Where do you live? Antarctica?
Thanks! The dealer is replacing the unit
I've had that happen a couple times on mine as well. Haven't taken it to the dealer yet, but it has happened to me at least twice now. I've also experienced the backup camera showing black as well. The lines showed up but the camera remained black. That also has not happened again since the only time. Both occasions the temps were in the teens.
From the Troubleshooting section on Page 127 of the Nav Manual:

Problem: The display appears dim when starting the car in really cold weather.

Solution: This is normal. The display will become brighter after a few minutes.

This may not be the same exact problem you're seeing, but folks in Canada may well have to wait a few minutes for the screen to brighten in the winter.

All the liquid in the LCD screen is frozen
I have that happen in my 2000 Acura 3.2TL Nav when cold and also the 2007 Ridgeline with Nav. I don't drive the Ridgeline that much anymore but first 2yrs when new just about all the time. The system just did not boot up and the temps were cold. This was rare with the Ridgeline but did happen not the dim screen and getting brighter issue that's different. It just would not come on unless you restarted. But I would think the systems were completely different.
It was cold here in DC this mourning 22 degrees my Acura system came on without problem. But it could be a bit warmer like 35 and it would not boot up.
I pay attention to my old Acura screen because the models back then with Navigation 1999-2003 have some Climate Control functions in the Nav display screen. This is the fan speed and air flow direction A/C. Temp controls defroster separate. 2006+ Ridgeline was a out of date upgraded version of what was in my 2000 3.2TL but did not have climate function in display screen.
But the colder temps sometimes seem to effect the operation at start-up but not all the time.
