I used turtle wax rubbing compound and some even pressure with my hand and a damp shop towel , haven't had to reapply yet and that was a few months ago so it seems to hold up. They look brand new.

Some ppl might fuss at you for doing a "quick fix" and chastise you for not replacing the whole headlight unit but I know ppl are not made of money and this works just fine for me.
