So I am installing heated seats in my dad's Ridgeline. I purchased a set that requires, on high, 10 a for each seat. (20a) total. Does anybody know where inside the cab I could tap in for 20 A of switched power (Or close in amperage) they suggest using the 12v lighter plug in the console. I doubt he will ever use both of them on high... Bud I'd like the option of possible.

Does anyone know the amperage that each power socket can handle?

I think they are handled by a 15a fuse..I honestly would put them on there own circuit...



EDIT: I actually cant find in the fuse box what fuse powers them... I would see if there is a empty fuse location you can use and just tap into the factory wiring. And use a 25 or 30 amp fuse.

I tied the driver's side into the rear power port (15a) and the passenger side into the front power port (20a). I still used the supplied fuseholder to protect each seat as they came in the kit.
