Just received my first email from "Honda News." It includes a link to a Honda Adventure Guide downloadable PDF file. It's basically a 25 page add made in conjunction with Automobile magazine that shows the cool destinations in the Southern California area, and how to access them best using Honda products. The RL is featured in the Baja getaway.

Very cool indeed! I lived in LA (Santa Monica actually) for twelve years before moving up to the Bay Area last year. I still go down there quite a lot, and now I have a whole new set of places to explore. I typically stick to the urban destinations when I go down south, but since I've gotten this truck, I've been jonesing to go camping and exploring more and more. Great find. :)

Edit: OK, so I've been camping on the uninhabited side of Catalina a few times, and man, it's the definition of roughing it. You have to swim (or rubber raft) in yourself and your gear. There's no running water. Pretty wild hiking. Good stuff! You can't drive there, though. :(

Here in exciting Central Illinois, we can take your Ridgeline through the incredibly exciting corn and bean fields with flat, dirt roads, gravel roads and lots of amazing wildlife like rabbits, squirrels and raccoon.

Sorry... I just keep getting jealous of those of you in "cool" areas with real things to do.

I gotta go. It's almost time for us to leave for the State Fair. Giddy up.
