Dealer offered me a free factory roof rack installed as part of my deal and was wondering the following:

a) does anyone have any full truck pictures with it on

b) feedback, good or bad from those who have one

c) alternatives

I also have the factory rack. I like it and it looks pretty good. I was skeptical because the factory rack on my CRV sucked.

So far I have only attached my Thule cargo box (1600 series) to the top. It looked pretty good and gave me some extra capacity for a trip I took.

John, are you getting a bed shell? If you ar, put the rack in the back to avoid the wind noise and you can carry more.

bed shell? Do you mean a hard bed cover? I hadn't thought of it unitl oyu mentioned it. I've never had a tonneau cover on any of my pickups over the years. Not a bad idea though.

Can anyone say how much the stock rack affects windnoise. IE: 10% increase or whatever?

I think Blue is referring to a Canopy. There are a couple of companies working on them now.

As for wind noise I can't tell you right now as I am one of the lucky one to have the wind shield wind noise.
