Say I read this in the local paper today, I wonder if true what Honda will do with a diesel, a future Ridgeline perhaps.

In Europe, Honda has recently introduced a 2.2l diesel in the CR-V and Accord. Pretty impressive mileage for the CR-V with a claimed 34 mpg in the city and 49 mpg on the highway. (4WD with 5-speed manual.)

Obviously this 4 cylinder would be too small for the Ridgeline, but Honda is definitely getting some experience with diesel.
I have not been a huge fan of diesels in cars. An old friend of mine had a good idea, he thought there should be a law that the tail pipe be move up front so the people driving the diesel could smell it too.

I love the diesel in my sailboat, and boats that use biodiesel smell like french fries cooking when they go buy.

Ran a cross an interesting article that discusses a new diesel engine you may whant to consider as an up grade it you are looking for a little more power in your Ridgeline.

Check it out at http:www.bath.ac.uk/~ccsshb/12cyl/

Don't even get me started on those old Mercedes Diesels running around. I don't know if it is that way everywhere but around here there are a handfull of them where the entire back of the car is black and they spew a nonstop flow of smoke out the back. And they are smog exempt!!

The new VW diesels I can't even tell they are until I see the TDI on the back.
