Hello,

Some background.. Last month I purchased a 2007 RTS from a private seller. This seller spoke little English... and my Spanish speaking friend assisted in the transaction. When I asked about the age of the battery, the seller claimed it was original and that he never changed it. The RL has 84k on it. The guy I bought it from owned jointly with his wife who he was divorcing.
Im saying no friggin way. I took a pic of the battery and linked it it to this thread. Unfortunately, the date "punch holes" on the top of the Honda battery are not removed. Does anyone know what the factory battery looked like in the early years? RL was manufactured in 11/06.

It's not punched at all....

There may be a sticker on one of the sides with a letter and number. A-l and 0-9.

A= January, B=February and so on.
0=2000 or 2010, 1 is 2001 or 2011 and so on.

So if it was the original battery is should have a 6 or 7 number, if it has the sticker.
