If you can't post, try Private/Incognito mode

There must have been some code change or issue: I see some folks can't post or check notifications or use the menus and editor.

Here's what worked for me:

Chrome: Use "Incognito"
PC: Cntl> Shift>N
Mac: Cmd>Shift>N

Firefox (and I think Safari, too, not sure): Use SAFE mode
PC & Mac: HOLD the SHIFT key when you start Firefox and choose to enter SAFE MODE

Windows Edge: * I don't know yet, not that familiar with it

Windows Explorer: Start in SAFE mode
* Use the shortcut to start in SAFE mode. If you don't have one, make one and add
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -extoff

Or, if you are familiar with "allowing" trackers within your privacy software, you would need to "allow" Vertical Scope ... if that is something you wish to do.

But I think it is an issue with the VerticalScope scripting.

Just passing on the info. Hopefully that works for you guys... good luck.

I've got notifications for posts that don't appear on the forum.

VerticalScope, as I recall, is the name of the company that owns this website or owns part of it.

Yeah. I could be wrong, but given the time and impact it appears there was a change. VerticalScope (as a tracker) is embedded the menus and editor scripts. That is probably why they barf. I saw your note on the corruption in the forum help area, makes sense too. I'm no expert it this, I only know what the tools tell me. -cheers
