Not sure on the slot size. But you can measure the hitch height with yard stick or ruler.

Hello has anyone tried to put a brake controller in the slot for the cd player. how deep and high is the slot. And how much room from the ground to the center of the trailer hitch.

That was my plan but I haven't had the need for a brake controller yet.
