When I purchased my 06 RL used, I noticed on the first night that some instrument lights were not working. Most notably, the moon roof buttons, cruise control, VSA off, fog light, and one of the heated seat switches. If I tapped the moon roof buttons, they would come on, but eventually die again.

When I took my RL back to the dealer for a list of problems, this was never solved. Not surprisingly, a year and a half later they still don't work.

Anybody else know anything about this? Could it just be the bulbs?

Normal - the bulbs have gone bad - you might want to replace them with LED - Some members here have done that.

My 2006 had almost every bulb go bad in 3 years - some would work for a few minutes if you tapped them just right. - There are threads here on the bulbs and the LEDS.
