I am looking at a 2013 or 2014 RL. I like having the reverse camera pop up on the nav screen, but I do also want bluetooth streaming audio. Is it possible for me to change out just the HU under the nav screen and install a header with bluetooth? Would it affect the function of the the nav screen? Could I keep steering wheel controls?

On the flip side, are there any headers with a screen that can hook up to the stock camera and steering controls? That way I could just remove the stock nav and the stock header and replace it with one item. Can this work?

The higher trims of G1 Ridgeline have Bluetooth, but it will only work for phone calls. To stream audio you will need to add a Bluetooth unit. It can be added behind the dash for lower trim Ridgelines, or hooked up to the Sirius XM unit behind the rear seats in the higher trim Ridgelines. Here is one thread that will show the process.....

The Nav system in the G1 Ridgeline has many parts and removing one may disable the others.

I think it would be easier to install a new HU with all the features you need than trying to piecemeal the stock system.

If he isn't, I may be. My 2012 doesn't have Nav, but does have XM. Any idea if it will still work? I assumed it would as long as I was on XM1, but you know what they say about assuming...

Yes it will work but will be installed behind the HU when you don't have an XM tuner.
With a XM tuner it plugs into the tuner behind the right rear seat.
It is important to follow the instructions supplied with the BT45-Hon, not doing so with set the volume at a low level. It comes with a couple of different harnesses that are used depending on where it will be installed. If you read of low volume on a BT45-Hon, usually the reason is incorrect install of the supplied harness. It is easy to install, it just goes inline to the XM tuner or HU wiring harness. I've had them in two Ridgelines and they worked great. See pages 8 + 10 on following link...

Hi,
Yes, it will work on an XM equipped Ridge. The bt45 will plug into the XM tuner which is located behind the read seat.
I have someone who has committed to purchasing it...it the deal falls through I can let you know.
