This truck is awesome. I cannot believe some of the stuff written on this site! "I can't get it to shift above 3000rpm"???? Uh, right foot to floor, I guantee you can redline it at shifts.
"Notice a rocking motion when I stop"??? What???
"Back doors don't open as wide", I lift my 40lbs dog in and out everyday, no problem, Had my 70 year old parents ride along, no problem getting in or out and loved the 1-1/2 hour drive while riding in the back.
"Don't buy until you can get above 10000 vin" Ok early adopters may pay a price but what the heck is magic about 10000? Any problems are not going to show up for months and the fix will not be incorporated into this production run. Its got a guarantee!
I could not love this truck more. BUY IT! Just Buy It.

Unfortunately, I think that connectivity issues will exist long after we are dead and gone....

It is not 10,000. If you get VIN 10,000 (actually 11,000 since they started at 1000) you will still have problems. Now if you wait for 10,001 you will be golden. Has to do with the numerical energy fields in Lincoln Alabama.

Indeed - that is just tech and connectivity issues are by no means limited to Hondas, or even to cars...

I test drove the truck and liked some things about it. What I don't like is that to have a GPS and moonroof, I have to buy the top level truck with a bunch of stuff I don't want. Add in that the tailgate doesn't lock, and with that retarded armrest, I have resolved to wait and see if Honda makes an attempt to correct these issues next year. If not, I will stick with my 2014 Pilot until the truck I want is built (or something close to it).

I have no issue with my Android Auto.. love it traffic reroute, message readout/reply, and way better than the factory Garmin.

Also i agreed with the original post... you never know until you owned one. Love my RL :)
It's gotten a lot better though. For the first month that I was posting here, you would have been flamed incessantly for this post. There are a few small minds that in spite of unending evidence to the contrary still want to believe the dribble that they have been spouting, but for the most part that's calmed down a whole lot.

In fact, I think that it's been more than 2 weeks since CCDAstro has been accused of being an apologist or paid by Honda. It would be like driving home and realizing that your house was painted a different color. You can still get around fine, but it just feels ... different.

Couldn't agree more with the OP. Night and day difference vs 08 G1. Absolutely problem-free. CarPlay works brilliantly.

Now now LOL take the high road. Small minds is not helping. Probably just a few overly strong opinions? True its probably a lot better though overall the bark is turing more into a growl that perhaps may turn in to just a sniff if you know what I mean. Anyways I take the stance that if the truck works for some then great but it doesn't mean it does for others, and I would like to think this forum in general shouldn't be a club just for the positive side of things. A bit boring if you ask me. We are not clones after all, at least not yet. Remember this the truck for many was viewed to look different and many were just hoping it would include some of what they were needing and wanting. It's natural to feel a bit disappointed for awhile anyways. I can't imagine it ruining someones daily life over it though. Just buy one? sure why not if you really like it.
