Ok, so nothing is posted out here for hurricane alley. Hello? Hello? Anyone around? I see that Florida is having gatherings and I am dying as I moved just before they started those things.

I am in Baton Rouge, LA, essentially at the intersection of I-10 and I-12.

I want to get some meet & greets going. Is there anyone interested in LA? MS? AL?

I mentioned "Cruisin' the Coast" over here in the Mississippi Disaster Zone as a possibility if anyone's interested. The link to their site is in this forum area. It cranks up next week.

The paper today said they're expecting over 1,000 street rods for the various events & the only real glitch is that the bridges over Bay St. Louis & Biloxi Bay are out, so there will be a lot of street rods running up to I-10 to get between Hancock, Harrison & Jackson County sites.

There is a mega swap meet at the Coast Coliseum in Biloxi. I think that one has a $20 admission. Next Friday, Charlie Daniels will be doing a FREE concert at the park in Pascagoula. There are also events at the various casinos.

If anybody wants to try to put together a mini-meet & sit around say the Edgewater Mall ogling the 1932 Deuce Coupes, let me know...

See that sounds good. Curious to where all of the LA people are?

Abita Springs is a nice place if they have finished all the road work. Also, there is a great golf course there (Money Hill), just wondering how many designated drivers we would need for the trip back. I'm in if the road work is completed.:D

What road work are you referring to? I drove out to Slidell last weekend to see what I could see and I didn't have any road work.

I could definitely swing the golf clubs. I used to be pretty good (~83-85) so am guessing that I could shoot below 95 without too much difficulty. Even if I have to leave the driver in the bag. hahaha

Keith, is that your golf or designated driver?

The road work I am referring to is the work being done to the local road off the interstate into the Abita Springs area. The last time I went there it was terrible:mad: and the traffic backup was even worse:mad:

I will check with a friend of mine who lives over there and see what the conditions are.

Dunno anything about the roadwork, as I haven't been west (or south) of Slidell since 8-29-05. But I do know that I'll end up being the D.D. if my wife goes with me ;)

I'm heading to New Orleans, French Quarter tomorrow in the Ridge. Taking the parents down there to do the tourist thing. I'll be parking at a safe place, I hope, safe as in minus door dings. :) gotta stay away from other vehicles as much as possible

Have checked with friend who lives in the Abita Springs area and road work is complete so the brewery sounds good to me, lets talk about a date, Oct. 28th LSU has an open date ;)

I'm currently open on the 28th.

LSU's football schedule is meaningless to me, of course. My offspring's at Ole Myth & I'm boycotting my alma mater (Southern Miss) at the moment.

Any ROC-stars in NOLA that could drive up?

Let's see... Who else do we have in the area? kh4800's over here on the Miss'ippi Gulf Coast & Ridgeline2006's in Metairie, I think. That would make five. Any others?

I am 100% there. I cancelled my other possible plans. :D

Due to tour times, I think the meeting time should be 12:00-12:30 pm. Take the tour at 1 pm, then eat afterwards at the BrewPub.

"Tours are given every Saturday at 1:00pm and 2:30pm and Sundays at 1:00pm."

"Our tour begins in our tasting room, where you can sample the various brews that make our brewery so successful. Don't forget to grab a "Full One" before the tour begins. You may get thirsty!" You don't get that at the Budweiser plant. :D

DIRECTIONS

Call Us: 985-892-5837

Sounds like we have a plan! Mrs. Djeaux has it marked on the kitchen calendario :)

Hope to be showing off a new G Tech brush guard by then, too!

Keith: Why doncha set up another thread with the details & ask for folks to sign on? So far we got k757, Cajun & moi. If we get more, will we need to get table reservations at the BrewPub?
