I have a 2008 rtl, I wanna install an amp to my stock hu. So do I put splice a loc straight to the hu or could I do it to the stock amp behind the back seat

Not sure I understand your question (I'm not one of the audio "specialists" here), but the only "stock amp" behind the back seat is the XM receiver and the subwoofer (both only in certain models). In other words, there is no "amp" there, unless I'm mistaken. It may be you have an aftermarket amp back there???? (but I doubt that as well)

Maybe you can clarify your question? :)

I was assuming there was an amp back there because of the stock sub was back there, I'm trying to put a amp into my rtl with stock radio, I bought a loc but not sure what to do with it

I don't know what a 'loc' is, but I've read many posts here where members have mounted amps in the dash area, under the front seat (if you don't have a Navi unit down there), or in the center console area. You can search for many of these posts/install advisories using the pull-down search box on the blue strip above.
There was one that was up just a day or two ago that talked specifically to adding an amp to the stock HU... I think it was an Alpine amp. You could search for that (I'll check to see if I can find & post for you... maybe). :)

OK... I forgot, but now I see that I already provided this to you on another thread. FYI, it's best to try to keep the posted Q&A "clean" by picking a thread for a question & sticking with it. If you put it more than one place, your answers/information will be scattered; not only for you, but for everyone else who searches for info after you. Just a friendly suggestion.

Anyway, here's that link again.... don't know if you looked at it, or if it did you any good.

or better yet, here's the whole thread, in case you don't know/see how to get from that first post :
