You might try riding in the passenger seat for a similar amount of time and see if you have the same symptoms. High dead pedal on the left and extended right foot on the gas might cause some pelvic unleveling and some mechanical low back pain.

I would never go to a Chiropractor again, tell me one good thing about one.
Well, there's research and stuff?

http://www.jmptonline.org/article/S0161-4754(10)00211-3/fulltext

I can cut to the chase: CONCLUSIONS: Sixty percent of patients with sciatica who had failed other medical management benefited from spinal manipulation to the same degree as if they underwent surgical intervention.

The best evidence exists for a combination of manipulative therapy in combination with exercise.

You guys had to figure someone on the board was a chiropractor, didn't you? :nerd: Anyhow, we have a neurosurgeon, an osteopath and a medical doctor in the office.

N8torius, thanks for your thoughtful reply. I concur that subluxation theory is bunk and ought to be abandoned.

There is substantial evidence for NSAIDs, muscle relaxants and even some tricyclic antidepressants in mechanical low back pain. There is not evidence for narcotics.

I disagree with your recommendation of rest. There is evidence that it tends to prolong pain and disability. Bigger fan of physioball use.

...anyhow, I agree lots of docs take credit for the self limiting nature of many diseases and injuries. I recall it referred to as, "masterful inactivity."
