Lower Front Control Arms with Ball Joint

Hi All, '07 RL with 177k. Brought in for oil change at Firestone and they did there courtesy check. I asked them to price tires (OEM Michelins). While inspecting tires they recommend replacing lower front ball joints with control arm. The truck rides great, no noises etc. What should I look for? Should I have them do it? They quoted $721 for control arm/ball joint. Any help would be appreciated.

Run as fast as you can and get second opp....
LOL..thanks JM, that was my gut reaction..price on tires is actually pretty good though..i will not go to Stealer for opinion...need to find a reliable, honest shop..
Find a shop that specializes in suspensions.
If you get them replaced look at getting the mevotech arms their ball joints are more heavy duty
You went to Firestone for an oil change AND let them do a "courtesy inspection"? :act024: This is what happens when one does these things.

Totally Agree with you Slider, those shops will always come up with something.
