I have question for you @zroger73. I would like to know your opinion on Mazda's maintenance service. My wife has a 2020 CX-9. Her initial service was about 6 months ago or more and recently her "minder" came up for a service due. Apparently Mazda has different maintenance service levels and I wanted to get your thoughts. My wife was quoted $916 for the "preferred service".

I recommend following Mazda's maintenance instructions - what you posted are dealer recommendations which include many services that are unnecessary and not recommended or even discouraged or prohibited by Mazda.

Here's what Mazda has to say about these unnecessary services:

The only things you need to do for normal driving are:

Oil and filter every 7,500 miles or 12 months
Tire rotation every 7,500 miles
Engine air filter every 22,500 miles
Cabin air filter every 15,000 miles
Spark plugs every 40,000 miles
Coolant at 10 years or 120,000 miles
Brakes/battery/tires/balance/alignment only when necessary

Discount Tire rotates tires for free, if you bought them from them or wherever. I thought Honda service was high- wow! I do realize most of this is pure b/s profit for a dealer.
