Purchased my first truck on September 4th! I’m now the proud owner of a 2017 Honda Ridgeline RTL-E in White Pearl! Drove to Canton, TX last weekend and was extremely impressed with the MPG and ride quality. This is the first truck I've ever owned and am already loving it. I will use this thread to chronicle the additions and modifications that I make to the vehicle. I will also share my personal experiences with this truck as well. My purposes for this vehicle are to be my daily driver, DIY home project hauler, and mild-adventure vehicle! I hope to be able to help someone out, like you all have done for me. Appreciate your time and attention and please provide any input you may have as well. Enjoy! I know I am!

What is your impression so far with the T-Mobile syncdrive?

Just to note, I have the 1st version. It's dependable and usable. It let me know when they started working on my car at the tint shop. lol. It provides location services of the vehicle and I can set a geofence perimeter to ensure no one moves my vehicle outside of that perimeter. You do need to have a data service line to use the syncdrive, so now I have wi-fi, wherever I can get an RF signal. I have used it and it works. I've used this device in my previous vehicle with no issues as well. I believe I have had this for over 2 years now. Good device.

Here’s one addition to the RL: USB Blue ambient light. Only comes on when car is turned on. Takes up a USB port.

Here is the center console divider. I cut 1” thick leftover sound panels to make a holster for my CC and extra magazine. Great deep storage. The sliding tray still fits but cannot slide past my CC when holstered. Things are organized and stay in place.

Enjoyed the Galaxy Drive-In theater yesterday! Wife and I had a blast with the truck bed speakers. Nowhere near audiophile and still loved every minute of the movie! Kept truck in ACC mode the entire movie (Unfringed) with volume at about 65% power. Stayed on the entire time and started up with no issue. Bed lights were the cherry on top when I opened the tailgate to enter/exit the bed as they conveniently provided a lit area.

Now that the tint is dried, I have added the AVS In-Channel Ventvisor Side Window Deflectors. Install was easy. Perfect fit. AutoUp function not working of course. Will post again later to confirm if they hold in position and allow AutoUp function to work.

Another addition for the day: CupHolder Hero Liners

I chose blue, but there are other color options. They feel good. Decent quality and fit their assigned sections well. I did not use the console and cell phone area mats because there were quality liners there already and they fit better.

Dropped off my Ridgeline to the dealership for them to repair a scratch and my parking sensors. Tried to get them to price match the illuminated door sills on ebay and they would only give a 10% discount. Not a great way to keep a loyal customer, Honda! So, I just ordered the illuminated door sills from another Honda dealership on ebay. This just doesn't make ANY sense to me. Ugh. Oh well, I'm excited to get them and install them on my truck.

@Pacman9270 You found illuminated door sills on ebay and you wanted a Honda dealership to price match the cost you found on ebay? If so, I would think that is normal behavior? Maybe I'm wrong but I would think they would match another dealer advertised price but not an online resaler. It would be like me finding an item on ebay and going to Walmart to price match this unknown quality of item? Sorry I could be way off here just trying to understand why Honda is rubbing you wrong.

That’s the thing. It is another Honda dealership that’s selling them... on eBay.

Got my truck back from the dealership today! Fender scratch gone and parking sensors repaired!

Next modification completed today: Increased second row door opening! Again, thanks to Drivers Only for their DIY video! Quick and easy installation! I bought the door checkers from eBay Honda dealers.

Door Checker Part Numbers:
1. Genuine Honda Right (passenger) Front Door Check Checker 72340-TG7-A02
2. Genuine Honda Left (driver) Front Door Check Checker 72380-TG7-A02
