I understand that the numbers and letters indicate where the car was built, color, trim levels, options etc., but, I am not sure about how many of the last digits indicate the number off the assembly line. As an example, the last 6 digits of my VIN are 527509. Is this the sequencial number off of the assembly line? If so, I find it very hard to believe that they have built over 527 thousand Ridgelines. Please help me understand this.
