New RTL-E owner

Picked up my RTL-E from Smail Honda near Pittsburgh yesterday (it was worth the 4hr+ drive each way!). Really good dealership with great salespeople.

This replaced my 2005 Pilot EX-L which served me well, but had mouse invasion problems common with that model year range.

Still getting used to the extra near-20" or so of length, especially when parking. :)

I wanted a pickup truck because I haul a lot of 4x8' sheet goods from the local stores to home for woodworking and home renovation, haul a lot of rough lumber from hardwood shops, and also haul junk to the dump a fair bit. I had really destroyed the inside of the Pilot, and almost always had both rear rows of seats down. But I didn't want a "real" pickup truck with a truck-like driving experience. The 2017 Ridgeline was an exact fit for me.

Accessories added: Running boards w/lights, F/R Splash guards, Towing Kit, Wheel Locks, Sport Grille (love how this looks with the Modern Steel Metallic color), Black Roof Rails, Door Edge Guards

For point of comparison, here's the same vehicle before they added the accessories:

Thanks :)

The rubber Honda hitch receiver cover looked like it would pop out and get lost, so I got a steel one from Etsy. It locks in with the same lock I use for the hitch.

Vader is my co-pilot:

Was traveling last week, so took this to the airport. Happy to see it still clears the lowest level in the parking garage at BWI, and although it sticks out a little, fits in the spots well enough. Also, that backup camera is really great -- much better than any of the ones in the various non-Honda rentals I've used this year.

And today I used it to haul a pink (yes pink) 1979 toilet (original with the house) to the dump. That door-style gate made getting that heavy old nasty thing in and out a snap. The tie-down hooks right near the gate worked perfectly as well. Sure, it would have fit in my old SUV, but then I'd have to clean up toilet water from the carpet. Nasty.

More photos. I've found there are too few non-dealer 2017 Ridgeline photos out on the web, especially with any external accessories.
